Light sculpture, "Violoncello with Drawer", started in 2012, and finished in May 2013 combines a cello, a storage drawer, porcelain busts, colored transparent plexiglas, hollow glass beads, and LEDs ( both colored and white). Of particular interest, light from the LEDs is modulated from 2 separate controllers. When the light is transmitted through the layered plexiglas, the result is a multitude of colors of changing intensity. Not much else needed to be added to the cello, a complete aesthetic form by itself. The porcelain busts, fashioned into pegs, have been added at the top.
