We generally perceive objects or things as "having" color, because light sources are usually constant (they emit light waves with constant frequency). Or when light does vary, it varies gradually over time (e.g. the sun at sunset vs. midday). This sculpture plays with this perception by modulating the light with different filters (LED's, plexiglas, colored transparencies, colored alcohol), allowing one to experience a rich variation of color over shorter time spans.
